The following is a list of some very important Summer Camp Registration deadlines:

April 1, 2008 ~PRIORITY Summer Camp Packets Available to All currently enrolled students and incoming K-stars

April 26, 2008~ PRIORITY Summer Camp Registration 8:00-10:00 in the Maidu School Gym

April 28, 2008~ Summer Camp OPEN REGISTRATION Packets available at all Eureka STAR sites

May 5, 2008~ OPEN REGISTRATION Packets can be turned in at Greenhills Elementary Room P5

STAR will be closed Monday, February 18th in observance of Presidents’ Day!

I wanted to share a new daily “Super Behavior Reward” that we just started implementing last week. Each day at the end of snack, before we head off to our daily rotations our STAR staff gets in a team huddle and chooses two SUPER KIDS a day (one boy & one girl). A SUPER KID is a student who has demonstrated outstanding behavior and  who has been an excellent role model for the students in enrichment, snack and roll call.

For the SUPER KID reward, the students chosen get to choose their rotations for the day. If they have homework, their second rotation has to be homework club until all daily assignments are finished and then they can return to the rotation of their choice. If the child has no assignments they can literally go to sports or art ALL DAY!

This new reward has been warmly welcomed by all of the children and our staff hopes to  choose your SUPER KID soon!!
